Why combine wood and metal?

The metal frame provides structural support and carries moving mechanisms, while wood provides the visible finish. Sections, outdoor exposure, maintenance needs and connections must be selected together.

What is needed for a wood-clad sliding gate?

Gate opening, side clearance, frame, wheel or rail system, motor needs and cladding weight must be assessed. Ground conditions and usage frequency affect the mechanism.
